You can also kill Embarl to get the dagger.If you speak to Embarl he says that he overheard Mae'Var say that he wants to kill Renal Bloodscalp but he has no proof. Ask him to give you his dagger and let him leave.Enter the second floor of the Sea Bounty, He will require that you kill a traitor named Embarl. Return to the cellars of Mae'Var's Guildhall and speak with Mae'Var. Give the documents to Edwin and he will tell you to report to Mae'Var for your final assignment. Note: Keldorn will temporarily leave the party when Mae'var gives you this task since he doesn't want to steal from the Temple of Lathander.
